Together with its sister companies, Icelandair Hotels plays a pivotal role in the development of local infrastructure, through its extensive brand portfolio. We secure a wide choice of accommodation, restaurants, and spas to cater to a broader clientele with a portfolio of seventeen brands that consists of:

Hotel Edda, three budget-friendly summer hotels, in the countryside, offering both en-suite rooms and rooms with washbasin. Edda Hotels are  frequented by both foreign and local travelers.

Geiri Smart Restaurant

Range of restaurants

Our renowned restaurants are inspired by local culinary tradition.

Five are located in Reykjavik, VOX Brasserie & Bar, Geiri Smart Restaurant, Konsúlat Dining Room, Slippbarinn and Satt Restaurant and three on the countryside, Aurora Restaurant in Akureyri, Mylla Restaurant at Lake Myvatn and Lyng Restaurant in Egilsstadir.

Selection of spas

We operate two health and wellness spas; Hilton Reykjavik Spa and Natura Spa. Icelandair Hotels are proud shareholders in Laugarvatn Fontana Spa and geothermal baths, a unique experience of the healing powers of geothermal springs.


Ownership & Management

The owner of Icelandair hotels is Berjaya Land Berhad. The sales agreement with Icelandair was finalized at the beginning of 2021, but the first part of the contract went through already in 2019. The chairman of the board of directors in Iceland is Tryggvi Þór Herbertsson.

The company will introduce rebranding and name changes to the parent company and the Icelandair Hotels chain in the second half of 2022.

Icelandair hotels have been working on developing tourism in Iceland with Icelandair Group for a number of years and will continue doing so. The company's mission is to remain a leader in hotel operations in Iceland and simultaneously make the most of the strong international connections to  Berjaya.
