Quality hotels all around Iceland

Icelandair Hotels Group cater to both tourists and business travelers and provide accommodations suitable for every budget, a cohesive mix of traditional hotel hospitality and innovative services to up with the requirements of the modern traveler's lifestyle. The vision is to give an authentic Icelandic experience for visiting tourists, focusing on Iceland's unique qualities as a tourist destination.

A chain of nine Icelandair Hotels offers a quality stay at key locations on the ring road around Iceland. Traveling across the country, the Hotel Edda - a string of summer hotels - makes for a good and economical choice, offering both en-suite rooms and sleeping bag accommodation. Our Hilton properties, the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, the newly opened Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton and Canopy by Hilton, Reykjavík | City Centre, are a high-end alternative for comfort and service along with Reykjavik Marina Residence. All of our hotels run a central reservation department.

Icelandair Hotels Group is growing and making its way into the lifestyle segment. The newest addition being Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel, our first Curio Collection by Hilton property, situated in the oldest part of Reykjavík at the junction of Icelandic history and style. The reconstruction of this charming building, which in the 19th and 20th century housed a grand department store run by Consul Thomsen and his family, was completed in March 2018 with modern amenities and a nod to Reykjavík’s vibrant culture.

The apartment-style suites at Reykjavik Marina Residence opened in December 2015, and are located in a beautifully restored historical building down by the buzzing Reykjavik Old Harbor. Icelandair Hotels are proud to have opened the first Canopy hotel in the world in 2016 - a new brand by Hilton, Canopy Reykjavík | City Centre, located in the heart of downtown Reykjavik. The new additions increase the total number of rooms within the Icelandair Hotels Group to 1.686 rooms located all around Iceland. 790 in Reykjavik and a total of 896 rooms in the countryside. Thereof 280 rooms at Icelandair Hotels and 616 rooms belong to Hotel Edda, the summer hotels.

Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel

Our Reykjavik hotels are our largest, with 147 rooms at Reykjavik Marina. We have 220 rooms at Reykjavik Natura and 251 at Hilton Reykjavik Nordica. Canopy Reykjavik City Centre has 112 rooms and Reykjavik Konsulat Hotel 50 rooms. The remaining six Icelandair hotels, located in smaller towns, offer anywhere between 30 and 100 rooms. These are widely considered to be the best accommodations available outside of Reykjavik providing high-quality facilities and services. Regardless of location, all our hotels are ideal settings for meetings and conferences. Four of our countryside hotels are managed independently, under a franchise agreement. The remaining ones are operated by Icelandair Hotels.

The Edda Hotels chain consists of ten convenient locations throughout the countryside. Most Edda Hotels are well-established student housing facilities, which are vacant during the summer. Amenities and room count vary by location. Edda Hotels are highly regarded in Iceland and frequented by both foreign and local travelers.

Icelandair Group is the parent company of nine subsidiaries in the travel industry in Iceland, and Icelandair Hotels is one of them.

Icelandair Hotels is a chain of quality hotels located throughout Iceland. Each hotel has its own distinctive characteristics yet the overall feeling is the same across the chain. At each hotel, sculptures by Icelandic artist Aðalheiður S. Eysteinsdóttir can be found in the public area. They bear the hotel's characteristics and represent the hotel and the family they are all a part of. The sculptures are among the many things that unite us as a whole but still remind us about how important the attributes for each hotel are. Each sculpture is different and has a story behind it. The sculptures help us make guests feel warm and welcome.
