We have opened Berjaya Myvatn Hotel

We have opened Berjaya Myvatn Hotel, a new 59-room hotel, restored on a solid foundation.

Myvatn is undoubtedly one of the best-known tourist destinations in Iceland and indeed a phenomenal place. Unparalleled nature has charmed tourists, naturalists, and scientists alike.

We embrace a long-standing tradition of hospitality and look forward to maintaining that tradition by hosting tourists who make their way to Myvatn and vicinity, offering variety in food and drink and exceptional service. Guests and locals alike can enjoy a meal at Mylla Restaurant, located at the hotel and experience an authentic Icelandic tavern, Gamli bærinn, a stone's throw from our hotel, also run by us.

The hotel's architect is Bjorgvin Snaebjornsson at the architecture office Apparat. The focus is on simple, fun and curious things and different spaces with a relaxed atmosphere where you will enjoy kicking back and relaxing after a day of exploring.

We are particularly proud of our environmental policy and have taken it a step further in partnership with Skutustadir borough as participants in the restructuring plan for sanitation in the area. This project recently received formal recognition for Innovation in public services and administration. The project aims to protect Myvatn's ecosystem and support soil reclamation at Holasandur in collaboration with The Soil Conservation Service of Iceland, Landgraedslan.
