Sculptures by Adalheidur S. Eysteinsdottir located in all Icelandair hotels.

The sculptures of Adalheidur S. Eyjolfsdottir were designed specifically for Icelandair Hotels, and each hotel in the chain is decorated with various sculptures. The sculptures welcome visitors and create a sense of continuity and identity across the hotel chain. Icelandair Hotel Reykjavik Natura is graced with eight different sculptures by Adalheidur, all of which complement the Hotel and its characteristics in one way or another.

Adalheidur was born in Siglufjordur in 1963, and now lives in Akureyri. She studied at the School of Visual Arts in Akureyri between 1989 - 1993 and has since developed a positive reputation for her unusual and expressive works of art. On the subject of her work, Adalheidur says, "From the beginning of my career I have tried to reconstruct the memorable moments of lives, people or communities. For example, hanging up a picture of a community in an attempt to remind us of where we came from and who we are."
