July 27

Bræðslan is a music festival that focuses on friendly atmosphere, having fun and of course great music.

The festival is held in Borgarfjörður eystri on the East Coast of Iceland, a small village with 110 inhabitants, surrounded by colourful mountains and beautiful landscape.

The festival venue is a 50 years old fish factory that for this one time of year is turned in to a wonderworld of music.

The festival was first held in 2005 and has since then been held annually on the last weekend of July.

Only about 900 tickets are sold for the festival each year.

Most of the festivals guests stay at the camping place of the village or enjoy the hospitality of the locals. The festival is organized by a group of locals that have a clear vision for the festival.

The purpose is to make an enjoyable experience for the locals and the guests, and to make Borgarfjörður eystra a better place to live in and to visit.
