Reykjavik Arts Festival

June 6-21

The Reykjavik Arts Festival is an annual multidisciplinary festival with a special focus on new commissions and the creative intersection of the arts.

The Festival is one of Northern Europe's oldest and promotes Icelandic and international culture in all fields of art, bringing together the best in local and international theatre, dance, music, and visual art. None of the events have been cancelled. Each event will be scheduled when the time is right, either later this summer, in the autumn, winter or spring of 2021.

Since its inception in 1970, the Reykjavík Arts Festival has invited hundreds of artists from all parts of the globe to perform or exhibit at the festival. Through this activity, the RAF has helped to create a vast network of connections between national and non-national artists, been a catalyst for the creation of new works and a major force in the development of cultural diversity in Iceland.
