Refresh and Relax for 60+ at Hotel Loftleiðir
In November 2010 we will offer the following splendorous package for people in the prime of life, 60 years and older. The package will be offered to Scandinavians and the idea is to get preferably two or more nations together. This is an opportunity to get to know people from other countries and have fun together.
Marentza Poulsen will take care of the group from beginning to end with her unique hospitality. Marentza is well known in Iceland for exceptionally rewarding, warm and enjoyable attitude and nobody is more trustworthy than she to take care of the group and make sure everybody will have a pleasant and memorable time. Each day will be filled with relaxing moments, sightseeing, refreshing walks in the hotels nice surroundings, tasty food and excellent company.
This enjoyable package consists of the following services:
- Accommodation in comfortable rooms at Hotel Loftleidir for four nights including breakfast
- Whole-hearted attendance from Marentza Poulsen during the stay
- Three nice dinners (2x two course dinner and coffee/tea and 1x Christmas dinner)
- Three evening entertainments, including coffee, tea, some light refreshments, live accordion music and dancing
- Sightseeing around Reykjavík with Marentza Poulsen, which includes a visit to the city hall, the parliament and other interesting places
- One free night to visit friends and/or relatives. If the group wants Marentza could also accompany the group to a dinner elsewhere (has to be paid for separately)
We also offer the following services at Hotel Loftleidir:
- Free access to the swimming pool, sauna and hot tubs
- Plenty of free parking spaces for those who will be driving
- Great walking paths in the surrounding of the hotel
- Beauty- and massage salon Dong Fang (it is better to book therapies in advance) (has to be paid for separately)
- Hair salon Garbo (it is better to make an appointment in advance) (has to be paid for separately)
- Optional water aerobics in the swimming pool (has to be ordered in advance and paid for separately)
- Free shuttle bus between the hotel and the city centre five times a day
- Art exhibition dedicated to Iceland’s most distinguished contemporary artists. Free of charge
- A great bird collection of over 70 birds on display. Free of charge
- Bedtime stories: book reading in English every Thursday at 21:00. Free of charge.
