18 hole golf course
At Efra Sel, 3 km. from the hotel, you find a 18 hole golf course and a restaurant, Kaffi Sel, which offers excellent food and organises special events for groups.
The golf course is one of the golf courses in Iceland which could be defined as a forest course. The course is placed on a farmland and is surrounded by trees which are placed along the fairways and on areas between them. The river “Litla-Laxá” plays a key role on some fairways. The course is relatively easy to walk.
Facilities:There is a large clubhouse, hosting more than 100 people. A restaurant offering hot and cold meal and locker rooms. The opening hours for the restaurant is from 8:00 o’clock in the morning to 21:00 o´clock in evening.
The golf shop is located in the clubhouse where you can find some accessories for golf, such as golf balls and gloves. You can rent clubs and trolleys.
Green fee:
Green fees, 2009, are as follows:
Individuals, 16 years and older: ISK 3.000,-
Individuals, 15 years and younger: ISK 1.200,-
Married couples (discount rate): ISK 4.500,-
Discount card (5 days) ISK 11.500,-
Green fees include full use of the clubhouse facilities such as locker rooms and restaurant.
